Abstract
Ungku gave a brief introduction on how ASAIHL was formed ten years ago and a summary of what had happened in the past two years. He briefly discussed on the contribution and award recognition given to ASAIHL Lecture last year as well as the function of ASAIHL Academic Exchange Scheme. Before he ended his speech, he stressed on the problems facing by the local scholars, particularly in the availability of journals in our own national languages and the problems in publishing the journals internationally.
